Another High-Ranking Trump Campaign Official Caught in Child Sex Trafficking

In the kind of report that doesn’t seem to surprise anyone anymore, a former Trump campaign manager from Kentucky is headed to prison for 20 years for child sex trafficking.

Timothy Nolan was a powerful judge and served as Trump’s campaign manager in Kentucky. He just pleaded guilty to 21 counts of child sex trafficking dating all the way back to 2004.

As Nolan pleaded guilty to the various charges, the court offered some sordid details of many of his  abuse. Nolan paid for sex with painkillers and heroin and at least one victim lived on Nolan’s property, using threats of eviction in exchange for sex acts.

As part his deal, Nolan will pay $110,000, which the Kentucky GOP  says will mostly go toward the Human Trafficking Victims Fund established in 2013.

Nolan, 71, of California, Ky., a former local school board member, was originally charged in a criminal complaint by the Campbell County Police Department for crimes that occurred between 2010 and 2017. That complaint alleged that Nolan committed human trafficking with a minor by subjecting a child under age 18 to engaging in commercial sexual activity.

“The punishment in this case does not undo the trauma inflicted on the victims, but it brings closure and some justice,” Attorney General Andy Beshear said. “I want to thank the Campbell County Police Department and our special prosecutions team for working this case.”

Nolan is not the first former campaign manager for popular vote loser Donald Trump to face child sex charges. Last year,  Oklahoma campaign chair Ralph Shortey pleaded guilty to the same crimes after he was caught with an underage boy in a hotel.

But yeah, Trump, you only hire the best and brightest people, right?
