Bill passes that gets America closer to never having another Republican President


Joining 12 other states and the District of Columbia, Delaware just passed legislation that would give the states 3 electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote in U.S. Presidential elections.

Delaware passed the measure by a 24-17 vote that adds yet another state to a joint pact already including 12 states and the District of Columbia, according to local news outlet WHYY.

The way this movement works, if that the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact would only go into effect if enough states sign on to bring the total Electoral College votes to 270.

Colorado recently signed on, as the the governor signed the bill last week, which brings the total is 181, which is still short of the 270 needed, but progress is being made.

If enough states signed on for this kind of legislation, it would spell bad news for Republicans, whose last two Presidents (George W. Bush and Donald Trump) won their first elections while losing the popular vote.
