Close Trump Associates Give Media Details About Trump’s Private Behavior, Showing He’s Terrified of FBI Raid

For those who like to keep count, it’s nearly been a full calendar year since Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion with then-candidate Donald Trump’s campaign (three hundred sixty two days, to be exact).

A lot has transpired since then to say the least, but with each passing day, there’s been one thing that has perhaps stood out more than anything else, and it’s that President Trump has actually taken the time to vent about the probe 7,240 times.

As farfetched as that may sound, according to to a new piece in The Washington Post which details a year in review of the Mueller probe, Trump melts down some 20 times a day about Michael Cohen alone:

The President vents to associates about the FBI raids on his personal attorney Michael Cohen — as often as “20 times a day,” in the estimation of one confidant — and they frequently listen in silence, knowing little they say will soothe him. Trump gripes that he needs better “TV lawyers” to defend him on cable news and is impatient to halt the “witch hunt” that he says undermines his legitimacy as President.

I don’t know about you, but to me, “20 times a day” sure seems like a lot. Especially when the average American relieves their bladder a mere 4-7 times a day. Granted, it’s not as often as the 46 times per day they check their phones, but still. Context.

Even if that’s just an estimate of an aide, there are plenty other indicators which suggest it isn’t an exaggeration. According to the Trump Twitter Archive, since the beginning 2017, Trump has called the investigation into Russia meddling a “witch hunt” 42 times. Also, his tweets have mentions of “investigations” 28 times over that same timeframe. Referring specifically to the Mueller probe, Trump has called it a “hoax” 13 times. And just within the last thirty days, his tweets have mentioned Mueller by name 7 times. Those are just the public meltdowns, so can you imagine how often he’s doing it in private?
