Brooke Baldwin of CNN presented a side by side comparison of the statements made by Attorney General William Barr and former special Counsel Robert Mueller regarding the investigation into Russian interference in the election.
The video clips show a clear picture to viewers and allows them to chance to make their own opinions on the situation. In the very first clip Barr said there “was no evidence of the Trump campaign collusion” with the Russian government, and Mueller said “there was insufficient evidence to charge a broader conspiracy.”
Another clip showed Barr claiming that “the evidence developed by the special counsel is not sufficient to establish that the president committed an obstruction of justice offense,” but Mueller said that “if we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”
Barr also tried to claim Mueller’s decision to not charge Trump was not based on DOJ policy, and Mueller directly stated that it was in fact completely because of DOJ policy to not charge a sitting president. This side by side is more than telling. Watch the entire thing below:
