During McConnell’s speech in home state, crowd chants “Moscow Mitch”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R. KY) got the homecoming welcome he deserved when he took the stage at a Family Farms Picnic in Kentucky over the weekend.
As McConnell, whose current approval rating in Kentucky is hovering around 18-20%, took the stage to stump for the reelection of Republican Governor Matt Bevin, he was drowned out by a chorus of boos that eventually turned into chants of “Moscow Mitch!”

Last week, McConnell publicly complained that the “Moscow Mitch” tag, tying him to Russian oligarchs and enabling the Russian hacking of our elections by refusal to take action on election security, deeply bothered him.
