Manafort Said to Be Flipping on “Everyone. He’s going to roll, roll hard, and get out of this without prison tats”

The Trump campaign made a lot of mistakes, but their choice of campaign manager may have been their undoing.

Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign manager, has been under FISA surveillance since before the election and he’s now been indicted by Robert Mueller. No one will be able to save him, not even Trump.

Republican political pundit Rick Wilson was asked “Who (and how many) does Manafort give up to Mueller in exchange for leniency or sentence recommendation?” Wilson answered: “Everyone. He’s going to roll, roll hard, and get out of this without prison tats.”

He then added “I told you. The [Intelligence Community] has a royal flush.” Basically Manafort is going to throw everyone under the bus that he can, including Trump.

Notice the timestamp on that Tweet above? Rick Wilson said that back in September of 2017. Fast forward to today and we have Rick Gates who is now indicating he is going to testify against Paul Manafort, which will start the snowball that will inevitably lead to Manafort flipping on everyone involved above him.

Mueller has already been reportedly working with New York Attorney General to bring state level charges against Manafort and that negates Trump’s ability to pardon him. Manafort has literally one lifeline and you know he is going to use it. Everyone in Trump’s circle in New York, Trump’s family, and all the other advisers who helped in the campaign are all going to be his bargaining chip.

Bill Palmer points out, So now we wait to see what Paul Manafort does, in light of being dealt a losing hand with only one wildcard. He can drag this out a bit as he’s indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced to prison, just to make sure he truly has no way out before he flips. But Manafort has been around the block enough times to know that by that time, someone else in Donald Trump’s universe may have flipped on him and gotten the only good deal there is to be had. It’s a matter of when, not if, Manafort flips.

We can only wait to see what kind of deal Manafort attempts to work out. If the person who flipped on Manafort didn’t have all the secrets, Manafort may very well be the final blow the Trump administration.
