Michael Avenatti, lawyer for Stormy Daniels, is claiming that the firm that paid Michael Cohen half a million dollars keeps changing their story because they’re hiding something, and what they’re hiding is big enough that it could mean Trump doesn’t finish his first term as President.
While I’m a little skeptical, I also got chills writing that at the thought of Donald Trump being hauled out of the White House. I can dream, right?
Avenatti says, “There’s a reason why Columbus Nova’s story keeps changing by the day and there’s a reason why they are covering-up. The truth is not pretty…but it is necessary. Mr. Trump will not serve out his term”
Michael Cohen is taking major heat for meeting with Russian Oligarch, Viktor Vekselberg, which occurred just 11 days before the presidential inauguration, according to the New York Times.
A video was obtained by the Times, which shows Cohen and Vekselberg meeting on January 9, 2017, to discuss how they could strengthen U.S.-Russian ties.
The CEO of Columbus Nova, Andrew Intrater, is now know to have paid Michael Cohen just a few days after the inauguration. Intrater is also reported to have given Cohen an additional $300,000 in donations to the inauguration.
“Obviously, if I’d known in January 2017 that I was about to hire this high-profile guy who’d wind up in this big mess, I wouldn’t have introduced him to my biggest client and wouldn’t have hired him at all,” Intrater said to the Times.
New York Times also reported on Tuesday that Intrater met Cohen at a bar in Manhattan a few weeks before the 2016 presidential election to discuss taxi industry investments. Cohen and Intrater stayed in contact and was seen sitting together during an inauguration dinner, where Vekselberg was also in attendance.
Vekselberg and Intrater were both questioned by special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, particularly about the payments made to Cohen. The FBI stopped Vekselberg’s private plane in New York to question him.
Remember when Donald Trump won the election by campaigning against the “corruption” of Hillary Clinton? Me too. Ironic, isn’t it?
