As she sits in a detention center in Bangkok, a self-styled “sex coach” who claims to have insider knowledge of Russian meddling in the US election says she wants to cooperate with US investigators into the election interference, according to a report from CNN.
Anastasia Vashukevich, also known as Nastya Rybka, says she will trade her wealth of information for political asylum. She claims to have more than an hour of audio recordings as well as photos of meetings that prove Russian interference in the 2016 US Presidential election.
“I am ready to help with an investigation if they help us get out of here,” says Vashukevich.
Seth Abramson explains on Twitter:
2/ I want to correct a typo: the attached tweet (above) should say “visuals,” not “video.” She says she has still photographs. We don’t know if video also exists for these meetings as we know it does for other Deripaska meetings.
3/ Alex Leslie says the group has video of crimes by the Russian government, but that reference could be to the manner in which Leslie and his group were arrested or something not election-related. So we should be careful here and *not* assume Rybka is saying she has such video.
So, to sum up: A prostitute from Belarus wants political asylum from American investigators in exchange for her evidence of meetings that prove Russia interfered in the 2016 Presidential election in favor of Donald Trump.
Welcome to the United States, 2018. What a time to be alive.
