Robert Mueller Has Now Set The Stage For Bringing Charges Against Trump Himself…Will He Do It?

With all of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s recent moves in the on-going investigation into the Trump-Russia scandal, it’s been difficult to follow and grasp the big picture of it all, but one thing is certain: When the man takes aim and swings, he swings hard and doesn’t miss. And Donald Trump should be very concerned by that, as it appears Mueller has set the stage for Trump to be his next target.

Just recently, Mueller brought a whole new round of criminal charges against Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort. However, one of the new charges in particular is very disturbing. In a nutshell, let’s just say things aren’t looking too promising for Manafort.

According to MSNBC,  Former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort was hit with new charges recently, including an allegation he secretly recruited and funded a group of former European politicians to lobby in the United States on behalf of Ukraine.

Further squeezing Manafort, Mueller lodged new accusations in a five-count superseding indictment Friday that charges him with conspiracy, money-laundering, being an unregistered agent for a foreign entity and making false statements.

The most significant allegation is that Manafort assembled what he called a “Super VIP” group of highly influential Europeans who could push Ukraine’s agenda “without any visible relationship” with the Ukrainian government, according to an email obtained by Mueller.

Put another way, Mueller has now Manafort on the hook for obstruction of justice during a time period in which Trump was in the White House. It’s not very difficult to put together what’s going on here.

It has been heavily documented that Donald Trump and Paul Manafort were in communication even after Trump took office, which never really made sense considering the fact that Trump had already “fired” Paul Manafort several months before the election.

There was no reason for the two of them to be in communication, but that didn’t stop them from working to seemingly sabotage the Trump-Russia investigation. By charging Manafort for his role in the conspiracy, he’s also tied Trump to the greater conspiracy between Manafort and Russia by association. Anything Manafort did, Mueller can now charge Trump with conspiracy to help him commit.
