Former New York City Mayor and inexplicably long-time Donald Trump supporter Rudy Giuliani has rushed to the defense of the controversial Republican nominee following Trump’s implied message of violence against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
While talking to George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America, Mayor Giuliani said “If Donald Trump was going to say something like that, he’d say something like that…You know how speeches go. He was talking about how they [gun-rights advocates] have the power to keep her out of office. That’s what he was talking about. With a crowd like that, if that’s what they thought he’d meant, they’d have gone wild.”
I’m no expert, but using the crowd’s reaction to a comment as a gauge for whether or not something is inciting violence just might be the most idiotic argument a person could ever make.
What do you think?
Is Giuliani correct that Trump was encouraging his followers to keep Hillary out of office by voting? Or is Giuliani just blowing smoke to try to defend his billionaire buddy?
