A Michigan man has been arrested after threatening to gun down CNN employees, which he referred to as “fake news.” Gee, I wonder where he’s heard that no less than 1,000 times over the past year?
The FBI launched an investigation after the man, who is unnamed in the CBS report, reportedly called CNN 22 times about a week ago.
“Fake news. I’m coming to gun you all down,” the man told a phone operator at CNN, according to WGCL-TV in Michigan.
The man later called CNN again, saying, “I’m smarter than you. More powerful than you. I have more guns than you. More manpower. Your cast is about to get gunned down in a matter of hours. I am coming to Georgia right now to go to the CNN headquarters to f—ing gun every single last one of you.”
The FBI is investigating the man after tracing his phone calls.
Many have been warning for some time that popular vote loser Donald Trump’s verbal attacks on the news media would eventually lead to violence. Looks like they were right.
He’ll probably tweet about this and deny that he has anything to do with this. And when he does, just remember that just last week this man gave out “fake news” awards to CNN, The Washington Post and other news outlets, and has said that they are the enemy of the American people.
This is squarely on Trump and his fake news enablers. No one else is to blame for creating this violent culture in America, but rest assured…there will be no blame taken by Donald J. Trump.
