Trump Gets Caught Making One False Claim Every 83 Seconds on Iran Deal

Popular vote loser Donald Trump knows his chances of being reelected are probably slimmer than his chances of finishing his first term without impeachment.  So, what historically have some Presidents (usually Republicans) done to boost popularity and get themselves reelected?  They try to start a war of course!

According to the video in that tweet by NowThisNews, Trump lied about the Iran deal once every 83 seconds during the speech, which you can watch here.

Than can only mean one thing: Trump’s only reason for pulling the US out of the Iran is that he views escalating conflict as a positive for himself and his presidency. God help us all if Trump becomes a wartime president.

The Time point out, “The Iran deal was reached in June 2015, but went into effect in early 2016, when the United States and European nations lifted sanctions. Since then, Iran’s military spending has increased by about 30 percent, from $10.8 billion in 2015 to $14.1 billion last year, adjusted for inflation, according to data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.”

“The Congressional Research Service has estimated that Iran’s defense budget was about 3 percent of the gross domestic product, or $15 billion, in 2015 and about 4 percent of G.D.P., or $20 billion, in 2018.”
