Brace yourselves. Per sources, Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, is reportedly being given strong consideration as the next White House communications director.
According to a report from The Daily Caller, “there is chatter within the White House that Kellyanne Conway is being looked at as the next communications director” to replace Anthony Scaramucci, who was relieved from the the post 10 days after being hired.
While Conway may be a popular choice within the White House due to her crafty work as Trump’s campaign manager last year, it’s certainly understanding why many outside the White House would have reservations about her credibility to serve in a communications capacity considering some of the blatantly false statements she has made in Trump’s defense.
For an example, look no further than what the co-hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe said of her credibility earlier this year:
“So note to CNN — sorry, I love CNN — but you’ve got to stop putting Kellyanne on the air,” co-host Mika Brzezinski said back in May. “It’s politics porn. You’re just getting your little ratings crack, but it’s disgusting. There’s nothing that she brings to the table that’s honest. Your hosts know it. Your hosts look pained when they interview her because they know they’re just doing politics porn — they’re not doing news. We need to stick to the news.”
What do you think? Can Conway be trusted in this role? If not, who within the White House can be?
